An attractive garden design is created by a combination of plants and landscape elements such as hills, fences, walls and water bodies. Gabion baskets form a basis on which a multitude of such design elements can be flexibly realised. You can also integrate plants directly. In contrast to brickwork, gabion baskets provide support from the outside and thus facilitate the construction of the building.

Gabion baskets - Stone gabions

In order to achieve a special effect, you can also mix different fillers with each other or use suitable plants after filling the gabion baskets, for example, so that the baskets form a rock garden. Gabion baskets can be used to create decorative elements within a garden, but they are also suitable for fencing, especially if they are used for privacy or sound insulation.

Fence gabions - Gabion fence

More conventional fencing, on the other hand, can be built to your advantage with our fence gabions. A gabion fence offers similar design possibilities as gabion baskets. However, it consists of individual grid elements held by special columns or posts. Due to their construction, fence gabions can be used as open borders, closed with plastic or reed mats, or filled like a gabion basket if you place two rows of fences one behind the other. In contrast to the stone baskets you have an even larger selection of different dimensions for the grid elements for the gabion fence. This makes our gabion grilles also suitable for fencing with very irregular ground plans.

For the individual fence design we supply you both complete fence gabions and all the individual parts you need for a gabion fence. Like our wire baskets, we also offer fence elements with different mesh designs, and just like the baskets, the mesh size affects the gabion price. You can also combine the fence elements with basket-like gabion columns, which we also have in our assortment with round or square ground plans. You can also assemble the fence elements individually from our range of individual parts.

A special attraction are our light gabions. They consist of a gabion column filled with glass chunks and illuminated from the inside.

The smallest gabion baskets have a cube shape with a side length of half a meter. The largest baskets are two metres long, one metre deep and one metre high. For all dimensions, we offer you the choice between gabion baskets with square or rectangular meshes on all sides and those with rectangular meshes on the front grille, while the other grilles have square meshes. Due to the higher cost of materials, the price of gabions is higher for rectangular mesh grilles than for square mesh grilles. The gabion baskets with mixed mesh shapes therefore provide a cost-effective solution if you only need a visible surface with the narrower, rectangular meshes.

The mesh size of each square shape is 100 mm. In the case of rectangular gabion grilles, the meshes are halved in width by an additional bar, resulting in a mesh size of 50 x 100 mm. For the selection of the suitable wire baskets not only the gabion prices are decisive, but above all the content with which you would like to fill the baskets. In principle, you have all the freedom here as long as the individual components of the product are large enough not to fall through the meshes. Particularly weatherproof bulk materials such as pebbles or quarry stones, glass chunks, clay fragments, but also pieces of wood, for example, are suitable as filling materials. Even though stones are a preferred filling for lattice baskets, the term stone basket for gabions is therefore a bit misleading.
